Launched in January 2022, Rebel Light’s RRR-Collection—Renew, Reuse, Rebel—reflects our unwavering commitment to the circular economy. Every product in this collection is sold with conditions to remain in use throughout its full technical lifetime, embodying our purpose to challenge waste and redefine the lifespan of architectural lighting.
Rebel Against Waste
In the past, one major obstacle prevented lighting fixtures from getting a second life: the absence of product warranties for reused items. Regulations like CE and EMC testing made it difficult to guarantee these fixtures, leading to unnecessary waste of products with years of service left.
Renewable products = Valuable assets instead of disposable trash
Our RRR-Collection includes a 25-year service guarantee, with the option to renew the product warranty anytime within the first 20 years. By creating these conditions, we add undeniable value to every product. Fixtures can be reinstalled anywhere with a renewed product warranty, ensuring they are seen as reliable and valuable assets rather than disposable items.
And if the original owner no longer needs the product, we offer a buyback program. We’ll refurbish the fixture, and it will be ready for a second or even third user—each time with a renewed warranty, sold as a renewed product rather than “used.”
Where We Stand Today
In just the second year of the RRR-Collection, it already accounts for 75% of our total sold fixtures. This accomplishment means thousands of our fixtures are installed with guarantees for renewal- and reuse options. Our turnkey projects include reuse of existing fixtures, RRR-conditions on new fixtures and a service life of minimum 25 years on the complete solution—an unparalleled commitment when compared to the industry’s standard five-year warranty.
What’s Next? Our circular economy journey is only beginning. As we anticipate rapid growth in renew-and-reuse practices, we’re advancing with initiatives such as on-site and mobile workshops, innovations in logistics to reduce packaging waste, and continuous product development. Driven by a market increasingly aligned with EU sustainability regulations, we’re excited to lead the charge in lighting for a circular future.
