Rebel Light is committed to deliver a damn schysst light for all built environments in the Nordics!
We aspire to be the renegades of the lighting industry, committed to delivering lighting solutions that redefine the game. Unapologetically, transparently and taking responsibility.
“Damn schysst” is more than just a phrase -it’s a standard we live by. It forces us to continuously improve and we impugn the way we and the lighting industry conduct our self.
At Rebel Light, we are dedicated to embrace sustainability in every aspect of our business. Our environmental policy is built on the principles of a circular economy, promoting resource efficiency, waste reduction, and long-term product durability. We are committed to both leading by example and inspiring our customers and partners to make environmentally responsible choices.
Our goals
Circular Economy Leadership
At least 75% of all lighting products we sell will be part of our circular product range. This commitment ensures significant environmental benefits through waste reduction and the promotion of resource sustainability. We aim to increase awareness among our customers of their role in minimizing environmental impact and foster a shift towards circular practices.
Our circular product offerings include:
- A minimum 20-year service and repair guarantee to extend product life.
- A renewal guarantee of up to 25 years to support product longevity.
- Authorized workshop services, providing expert maintenance and repair.
- Cash buyback options through our Renew and Reuse services, promoting recycling and reuse.
Advocating for Long Product Lifecycles
We actively participate in relevant organizations and initiatives that promote behavioral shifts towards maximizing product lifecycles. Through these efforts, we aim to inspire both the lighting industry and society at large to embrace sustainable consumption and product longevity.
Transparency on Climate Impact
We commit to making data on the environmental impact of our products readily accessible to customers, driving informed and sustainable purchasing decisions. The data will cover key metrics, including:
- CO2 emissions during manufacturing.
- CO2 emissions during transportation.
- CO2 emissions over the full product lifecycle.
- Total energy consumption in kWh.
Sustainable Procurement Practices
We continuously refine our procurement strategy to ensure a life cycle perspective is applied to all purchases. By considering the environmental impact at every stage, from raw materials to end-of-life, we aim to make responsible purchasing decisions that support our sustainability goals.
…and we obey to the law.
