Sergels Torg

Sergels Torg is a bustling public square in Stockholm. Named after the 18th-century sculptor Johan Tobias Sergel. Locally known as “Plattan”, the area in front of T-Centralen (Stockholm’s central metro hub) features a distinctive black-and-white tile pattern composed of large-sized triangles. This iconic design has been captured in numerous photos and is ingrained in the memory of every Stockholm citizen as an integral feature of Sergels Torg.

The light installation hanging over Sergels Torg is more than just an arrangement of bulbs; it’s a dynamic light installation, designed to resemble the feeling of a traditional light bulb but with the functionality of a modern RGBW pixel. Warm yellows and amber tones are the standard lighting content. During the Noble Week Light festival, different artist are invited to transform the installation during the week, to tell their own story, using our installation as their canvas.  The installation is put up every November, and in the end of March we take it down, service all the pixel-bulbs and store them for next year.
